From the beginning, giving back has been part of how High Tide Gaming operates. Every order already pulls 25 plastic bottles from the ocean through our partnership with Greenspark. Starting in 2025 we're taking that a step further.
Starting this year, every tee, hoodie, or apparel item purchased from High Tide Gaming will plant a tree in Florida. Through our ongoing partnership with Greenspark and a new collaboration with American Forests, we're putting roots in the ground to restore ecosystems, protect wildlife, and fight back against climate change right here in our home state.
Why Florida? Why Now?
Our tree planting efforts are focused on the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest, a critical piece of the Kissimmee Basin ecosystem in central Florida. This region supports some of the most unique biodiversity in North America, including species found nowhere else on the planet. Decades of habitat loss and rising temperatures have put the area under serious pressure, and restoration efforts here have an outsized impact on the broader Florida environment.
Planting trees in this specific region helps in four concrete ways:
Restoring the Longleaf Pine Ecosystem Longleaf pines are the backbone of this region's biodiversity. Restoring them means bringing back the habitat that dozens of endangered and at-risk species depend on to survive.
Fighting Climate Change at the Source Trees absorb carbon dioxide. Forests absorb a lot of it. Restoring the Lake Wales Ridge helps offset emissions in a measurable, lasting way.
Protecting Florida's Water Forest cover reduces runoff and naturally filters water before it reaches Florida's rivers, springs, and coastlines. Healthy forests mean healthier water for everyone downstream.
Protecting Wildlife The Lake Wales Ridge is home to species that exist nowhere else on Earth. Every tree planted is a step toward keeping it that way.
How It Works
Every apparel item sold through High Tide Gaming in 2025 triggers a tree planting in the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest through our Greenspark partnership. You buy a hoodie, a tree goes in the ground in Florida. Simple as that.
